GoPro mic A/D (anolog to digital) converter.

This big issue with this adapter for the mic is that the physical size of the adapter defeats the purpose of keeping everything small and portable. Where to you attach this brick? You are not at all going to get good sound from the built-in mic.

The previous versions did not need this brick, you would just plug in a mini plug mic and you were good to go. Why this nonsense of a monster size adapter costing nearly $50.00 add to the value of the GoPro Hero 5? What does it actually achieve?
